Job Description:

Job Duties

Read work orders, production schedules and blueprints to determine specifications, such as materials to be used, locations of bending lines, or dimensions and tolerances.

Set up, operate, and tend machines to bend or straighten metal material.

Start machines, monitor their operations, and record operational data.

Test and adjust machine speeds or actions, according to product specifications, using gauges and hand tools.

Install, align, and lock specified punches, dies, or other fixtures in rams or beds of machines, using gauges, shims, and hand tools.

Perform preventative maintenance on machines when necessary.

Position, align, and secure work pieces against fixtures or stops on machine beds or on dies.

Adjust ram strokes of presses to specified lengths.

Position guides, stops, holding blocks, or other fixtures to secure and direct work pieces, using hand tools and measuring devices.

Plan sequences of operations, applying knowledge of physical properties of work piece materials.

Grind out burrs or sharp edges, using portable grinders.

Measure completed work pieces to verify conformance to specifications, using micrometers, gauges, calipers, templates, or tape measures.

Perform first piece inspections and examine completed work pieces for defects.

Other duties as assigned.

Requirements

One year of previous Brake Press experience - Performing setups and operation

Able to read and work from prints

5 Panel Drug Screen

Must be able to lift 50lbs
