Sr. Account Specialist: Become the Newest Member of the VF Family

The Sr. Specialist is responsible for providing high quality customer service by resolving product/service issues, providing product information and processing product orders. This Specialist is responsible for entering, maintaining, and managing an account and/or rep order base. This position involves interdepartmental interaction in order to provide complete and accurate information to our key accounts, sales team, and management. Additionally, may be requested to assist with SAP, EDI and Cognos issues. The Sr. Specialist acts as a mentor to Account Representatives and Specialists whether specifically or as a role model.

How You Will Make a Difference:

* Efficiently enters, revises and releases orders for processing. Provides order entry support for other team members when appropriate. * Provides product specification information and product availability to assist customers with order selection and customer requirements. * Proactively assists customers, sales reps, members of the management team, or coworkers with inquiries, requests for information or resolution of complex issues. * Provides accurate, effective, and timely communication with all business partners to communicate resolution and/or plan of action. * Acts as support and resource for day-to-day activities within the department. * Analyzes, reviews, and processes requests for return authorizations and credits. Ensures accurate invoicing for all PO's. * Efficient handling of all customer issues to meet departmental goals. Interacts with external and internal customers related to the final on-time delivery of orders. * Provide technical and/or product information as required to respond to customer inquiries. * Demonstrates professional phone etiquette with internal and external customers. Logs into the phone queue and supports the department by answering inbound customer calls. * Demonstrates clear, effective, and thorough email communication with internal and external customers. E-mails reflect proper business email etiquette and avoid the use of internal jargon. * Assists management with special projects as needed. * May be assigned a specialty within the department (customer follow-up, training support, triage customer complaints). * Acts as mentor/leader and change agent within the department relating to day-to-day activities within the service center. * Provides customer/order fulfillment support for assigned customer group to meet service level goals. This includes understanding account and vendor compliance requirements. Additionally, may be required to assist with Web and EDI issues.

Skills for Success:

Years of Related Professional Experience: Minimum of five years of experience preferred

Educational/ Position Requirements:

* High school diploma or its equivalent, Associates or bachelor's degree preferred and/or equivalent experience * Advanced knowledge of SAP inclusive of EDI and VAS * Advanced knowledge of Cognos reporting * Advanced computer skills (Excel, Word) to include Web and EDI support/ Excel Pivot Table and V Look Up * Ability to handle difficult and stressful situations in a professional manner * Excellent communication skills (written, oral); must follow through on issues to ensure customer satisfaction * Excellent listening skills * Excellent organizational skills with the ability to prioritize work and multitask * Excellent telephone communication skills * Must be able to handle detailed information in a fast-paced environment with ability to handle difficult and stressful situations in a professional manner * Must be flexible and willing to accept change * Must be able to work in a team environment * Works productively without supervision * Self-motivated and shows initiative * Must be able to build strong partnerships with other VF Departments and account buyers * Strong knowledge of product offering * Must be able to work at a professional level to work with higher level management * Understands how to resolve issues and knows where to get the necessary support and information needed
