Our trucks are designed to perform under the toughest conditions.SUMMARY Provide customer training and demonstrations of vehicles and all components with an emphasis on the aerial device. Assemble, repair and operate aerial and other devices. Apply principles of rational systems to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables with only limited standardization.ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIESProvide customer training and demonstration of Pierce Aerial devices according to Pierce operations manuals and custom training materials relative to the safe operation and maintenance of the aerial device. Lead and conduct training classes using professional presentation skills. Trouble shoot (diagnose and repair) products on and off site. Perform the functions of an Aerial Test Technician (also see description for full review of Aerial Test Technician position). Travel and live on the road for periods of up to two weeks at a time in domestic and international destinations.BASIC QUALIFICATIONS High school diploma or GED Technical degree or certificate in Automotive Technology, diesel, Electro-Mechanical or related field OR experience in automotive or truck electrical repair & diagnostics. Ability to obtain and possess a Commercial Driver's License. Ability to lead and conduct training presentations. Ability to travel domestically and internationally for periods of two-weeks at a time. PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS Knowledge of all Aerial devices. Extensive aerial experience and knowledge of hydraulics, assembly, and electrical. Certified auto technician or electrician. Possess a Commercial Driver's License. Recent experience as a Pierce employee or contractor in the aerial assembly area.
