Will consider Spring/Summer 2021 engineering graduates for this
opportunity This is a Design Engineer position in
Electrical/Avionics Engineering for Final Phase Completions.
Responsibilities primarily involve engineering design and drafting
of new and derivative versions of cabin systems as part of
outfitting new aircraft. The design engineer will design
installations while meeting the electrical load requirements and
FAA certification guidelines of the entire interior installation.
Engineering design work includes the creation of drawings using
AutoCAD, Capital Harness XC and SmarTeam while employing design
standards consistent with company standards and accepted design
methods. Engineer may be required to liaison with the hangar and
shop teams on engineering issues. Design assignments are executed
under the direction of a Lead engineer or Group Head to meet the
manufacturing schedule. Additional responsibilities are out lined
in the job description and as assigned by the Avionics/Electrical
Engineering Group Head. Required: - The ability to effectively work
with and support a multi-discipline team of engineers, technicians,
Certification personnel, upper management, etc. - Must be a highly
motivated, eager to learn and results driven individual Preferred:
- Strong technical skills with knowledge of Electrical engineering
prints and their interpretation - Familiarity with Autocad
Education and Experience Requirements:
Bachelor's Degree Engineering or related curriculum required or
equivalent combination of education and experience sufficient to
successfully perform the essential functions of the job. Entry
level. 0-18 months experience.
Performs engineering work related to the investigation and
solution of basic problems associated with research, design,
development, service and manufacture of Gulfstream aircraft.
Principle Duties and Responsibilities:
Essential Functions: 1. Provides technical assistance to
engineering staff and contributes by completing discrete
engineering tasks on schedule 2. Using company procedures, applies
engineering knowledge to resolve routine issues 3. Analyzes and
evaluates results of project activities 4. Prepares recommendations
for changes and compiles necessary reports for various department
supervision 5. Recognizes discrepancies and/or problems with
analysis/test results and works toward corrective action
Additional Functions: 1. Actively works to improve daily
processes, and ensures all work meets customer requirements 2.
Continues learning and developing knowledge of application of
technical principles, theories, and concepts in assigned field of
expertise Perform other duties as assigned.
