Executive Summary: Senior Software Engineer

In support of our growth as a leading IoT Solutions Innovator, Mesh Systems seeks to hire both experienced and entry/mid-level Senior Software Engineers to join our team. We are searching for candidates that are interested in IoT/Cloud and are passionate, motivated developers wanting to learn and experience new challenges each day. In this role, you will be working with Senior team members in supporting and developing cloud applications for our customers.
This is a hybrid position with both work from home/in-office work based out of our headquarters in Indianapolis, IN (specifically Carmel) or our IoT Innovation Center in Appleton, WI reporting directly to the VP of Engineering. Fully remote teammates will be taken under consideration in certain circumstances.
Job Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain Azure cloud applications utilizing the full .NET development stack working with the different elements of a particular IoT Application
• Develop applications consisting of API layer, web front end, and some mobile components
• Work within a highly collaborative team using cutting edge IoT services and modern Agile methodologies as a process framework
• Some customer interaction along with a Program Manager to provide status updates, work through challenges, and gather requirements
• Code review using Microsoft Azure DevOps
• Documentation for team sharing
  Requirements
  
  • Application development technology experience using some of the following (but not all technologies) C#, .NET, Core, MVC Razor, Angular, AJAX, JQuery, CSS, REST API design, Swagger, SQL, Container Technology, Microservice design
  • Experience with both SQL and No SQL data storage
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
  • Demonstrate strong analytical and problem-solving skills as well as the ability to multi-task
  • Able to work both independently and with a team depending on assignment
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
    Other Requirements
    
    • Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, MIS, Informatics, Electrical Engineering or related field
    • Experience with cloud computing
    • 5-7 years building or working on production applications for customers
    • Interesting capabilities:
    • Experience working with version control and source repository software - Visual Studio, Azure DevOps, and Git experience a plus
    • Experience working with Azure IoT Hub, Event Hubs, Stream Analytics, and other Azure PaaS related services a major plus
