Clinic LPN or CMA - Foot and Ankle Surgery and Podiatry We Are Hiring Certified Medical Assstant CMA or Licensed Practical Nurse LPN Madison Center Foot and Ankle Surgery and Podiatry, Appleton WI with travel to Neenah and Oshkosh Clinics Weekly Full-Time Days - 40 Hours Weekly - 8:00am-5:00pm Monday through Friday - No Weekends and No Holidays Why Join Ascension? What You Will Do As an Associate with Ascension, you will have the opportunity to assist with the examination and treatment of patients under the direction of a physician. You will:Assists with treatments ordered by physician as supervised by physician or registered nurse. Performs select clinical duties.Interviews patients, measures vital signs, and records information on patients' charts. Prepares treatment rooms for examination of patients.Performs basic clerical duties including answering the phone, maintaining records, and filing.Performs basic materials management functions to include ordering and stocking of supplies. Assists with maintaining a clean and orderly environment.Draws and/or collects lab specimens.Prepares specimens for testing/analysis or shipment to external laboratories.Presents medication to patient and observes ingestion or administers medication using specified procedures. What You Will Need For this role we will accept applications from Certified Medical Assistants and Licensed Practical Nurses. Please see the corresponding responsibilities and qualifications below: LPN Job Summary: Provides basic clinical care to clinic patients under the direction of a registered nurse or Physician, functioning within scope of license.Responsibilities: Contributes to the assessment of patients by collecting data for analysis by a Registered Nurse (RN). Administers medications and observes patients for adverse reactions to medications or treatments. Performs routine laboratory tests and simple therapeutic services. Educates patients/families about disease treatment plan including self-care post discharge, holistic health needs, available resources and follow up care. Complexity of Work: Within scope of job, requires critical thinking skills, decisive judgment and the ability to work with minimal supervision. Must be able to work in a stressful environment. Personal Protective Equipment: Follows Standard Precautions using personal protective equipment as required. Minimum QualificationsLicensure / Certification / Registration: Licensed Practical/Vocational Nurse credentialed from the Wisconsin Board of Nursing obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date. One or more of the following: Certified BLS Provider credentialed from the American Heart Association (AHA) obtained within 6 Months (180 days) of hire date or job transfer date. Instructor specializing in Basic Life Support credentialed from the American Heart Association (AHA) obtained within 6 Months (180 days) of hire date or job transfer date. Education: Diploma. Graduate of an accredited school of Practical Nursing required. Work Experience: One (1) year of related experience preferred. CMA Job Summary: Assists with the examination and treatment of patients under the direction of a physician. Preferred Credential(s): Certification specializing Occupational Hearing Conservation credentialed from the Council for Accreditation in Occupational Hearing Conservation (CAOHC). Certification may be required at some locations. Education: HS or Equivalent. High School Diploma or equivalent required. Completion of a Medical Assistant program preferred. Work Experience: No experience required.
