ADEX Healthcare Staffing LLC is seeking a travel nurse RN Med Surg for a travel nursing job in Wausau, Wisconsin. Job Description & Requirements - Specialty: Med Surg - Discipline: RN - Start Date: 03/09/2026 - Duration: 13 weeks - 36 hours per week - Shift: 12 hours, nights - Employment Type: Travel Opportunity: RN - PCU Job Details: • Work 12-hour night shifts from 7:00 PM to 7:30 AM • Guaranteed 36 hours per week for 13-week contract • Every other weekend and every other holiday required • Float to all inpatient units as needed • Can be low censused and put on call with 2-hour minimum call back pay • Patient ratio typically 1:4 on a fast-paced 44-bed intermediate cardiac stepdown unit • Care for post-op CABG/valve, thoracotomy, vascular, arrhythmia, CHF, post-procedure cath, pacer, defibrillator, ablations, acute chest pain/MI patients • Handle medical/surgical overflow including detox, DKA, COPD exacerbations, respiratory failure, and femoral-popliteal bypass patients • Must have 1 year strong cardiac experience (Cardiac SDU/Intermediate Cardiac/Cardiac ICU) and 2 years IMC/PCU/Telemetry experience • Experience with Amiodarone, Cardizem, and Nitro drips required • Must have completed at least one travel assignment • 1 year recent EPIC charting experience required • Required certifications: Wisconsin RN License, BLS, and ACLS • Must be able to pass EKG test during first week of hire • Scrubs: any color allowed • Must be outside 50-mile radius of facility • Associate degree or certificate required, bachelor's degree preferred Facility: This healthcare facility operates a comprehensive cardiac telemetry unit with 44 beds specializing in intermediate cardiac stepdown care.
