ADEX Healthcare Staffing LLC is seeking a travel nurse RN ED - Emergency Department for a travel nursing job in Wausau, Wisconsin. Job Description & Requirements - Specialty: ED - Emergency Department - Discipline: RN - Start Date: 03/23/2026 - Duration: 8 weeks - 36 hours per week - Shift: 12 hours, nights - Employment Type: Travel Opportunity: RN - ER Job Details: • Work 12-hour variable shifts with PM shifts starting at 11:00 AM or 2:00 PM • 8-week contract with guaranteed 48 hours per week • Overtime available after 48 hours worked • Work every other weekend and every other holiday • On-call requirement of 12 hours within a 6-week period with 30-minute response time • May be required to float to other locations including Merrill, Antigo, Medford, and Stanley • Can be placed on low census and put on call • Minimum 5 years of nursing experience required with at least one year of travel experience • Trauma Level II experience required • Required certifications: Wisconsin RN License, BLS, ACLS, TNCC, and PALS • EPIC charting experience required • Care for 3-4 patients per nurse in fast-paced environment • Handle trauma, stroke, cardiac, neuro, pediatric, geriatric, and respiratory patients • Responsibilities include drawing labs, nebulizer treatments, and medication administration via Pyxis system • Any color scrubs acceptable • Associate degree or certificate required, bachelor's degree preferred • Must be hard-working, resilient, and able to manage change and work independently Facility: This healthcare facility operates a Trauma Level II emergency department featuring an 18-bed unit that is stroke certified. The facility provides comprehensive emergency services including cardiac, neurological, pediatric, geriatric, and respiratory care in a fast-paced environment. The emergency department is equipped with in-house laboratory services, respiratory therapy, on-site X-ray staff, EPIC computer charting system, and Pyxis medication dispensing technology to support high-quality patient care.
