ADEX Healthcare Staffing LLC is seeking a travel nurse RN PCU - Progressive Care Unit for a travel nursing job in Wausau, Wisconsin. Job Description & Requirements - Specialty: PCU - Progressive Care Unit - Discipline: RN - Start Date: 04/06/2026 - Duration: 13 weeks - 36 hours per week - Shift: 12 hours, nights - Employment Type: Travel Opportunity: RN - IMC Job Details: • Work 12-hour variable day/night shifts from 7:00 AM to 7:30 PM or 7:00 PM to 7:30 AM • 13-week assignment with 36 guaranteed hours per week • Must live outside 50-mile radius from facility • Float to all inpatient units as needed, including IMC and CTU units • Every other weekend and every other holiday required • Can be low censused and placed on call with 2-hour minimum callback pay • 8-bed observation unit with 1:4 patient ratio • Care for patients with anemia, cellulitis, COPD, dehydration, pre/post-op urology and GI procedures • Manage cardiac drips including Cardizem, Nitro, insulin, and heparin • Handle high volume of admissions and discharges with average stays up to 48 hours • Required certifications: Wisconsin RN license, BLS, ACLS • NIHSS highly preferred • Must pass EKG exam during compliance • 3 years minimum experience required with 1 travel assignment • EPIC charting experience required • Must demonstrate ability to read and interpret cardiac strips • Background in observation units or MS/Tele units preferred • Associate degree or certificate required • Any color scrubs permitted • Must complete clinical interview Facility: This healthcare organization operates a comprehensive medical center providing specialized intermediate care services through their Short Stay Unit.
