ADEX Healthcare Staffing LLC is seeking a travel nurse RN Med Surg for a travel nursing job in Wausau, Wisconsin. Job Description & Requirements - Specialty: Med Surg - Discipline: RN - Start Date: 04/20/2026 - Duration: 13 weeks - 36 hours per week - Shift: 12 hours, nights - Employment Type: Travel Opportunity: RN - Med Surg Job Details: • Work 12-hour shifts with day/night variables: 7:00 AM to 7:00 PM or 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM • Guaranteed 36 hours per week for 13-week contract • Every other weekend and holiday rotation required • Float to all inpatient units as needed • Subject to low census and on-call requirements with 2-hour minimum call back • Minimum 2 years medical surgical experience required • Recent hospital experience and trauma level II experience required • Prior travel experience required • Epic charting experience required • Required certifications: Wisconsin RN License and BLS • Work in 40-bed post-surgical care unit providing care for pre and post-surgical adults and geriatric patients • Nurse-to-patient ratios: days/evenings 1:4 or 1:5, nights 1:5 to 1:7 • Fast-paced environment averaging 10-15 admissions per day with 90-95% occupancy • Must be able to multitask, prioritize patient care based on acuity, and work as a team • Use Epic EMR, rovers for medication scanning, and Alaris pumps • Scrubs can be any color • Must be outside 50-mile radius of facility • Associate degree or certificate required, bachelor's degree preferred Facility: This healthcare facility operates a comprehensive 40-bed post-surgical care unit that provides specialized care for adult and geriatric patients throughout their surgical journey.
