Job Description ADEX Healthcare Staffing LLC is seeking a travel nurse RN Med Surg for a travel nursing job in Wausau, Wisconsin. Job Description & Requirements - Specialty: Med Surg - Discipline: RN - Start Date: 03/09/2026 - Duration: 13 weeks - 36 hours per week - Shift: 12 hours, nights - Employment Type: Travel Opportunity: /n RN - PCU /n/n Job Details: /n • Work 12-hour night shifts from 7:00 PM to 7:30 AM /n• 36 guaranteed hours per week over 13-week contract /n• Every other weekend and holiday rotation required /n• Float to all inpatient units as needed /n• Can be low censused and placed on call with 2-hour minimum callback /n• Patient ratio typically 1:4 in 44-bed intermediate cardiac stepdown unit /n• Care for post-op CABG/valve, thoracotomy, vascular, arrhythmia, CHF patients /n• Handle post-procedure cath, pacer, defibrillator, ablation patients /n• Manage acute chest pain/MI, medical/surgical overflow including detox, DKA, COPD exacerbations /n• Must have 1 year strong cardiac experience (Cardiac SDU/Intermediate Cardiac/Cardiac ICU) /n• 2 years IMC/PCU/Telemetry experience required /n• Experience with Amiodarone, Cardizem, and Nitro drips mandatory /n• At least one completed travel assignment required /n• 1 year recent EPIC charting experience required /n• Required certifications: Wisconsin RN License, BLS, ACLS /n• Must pass EKG test during first week of hire /n• Must be outside 50-mile radius of facility /n• Any color scrubs permitted /n• Associate degree or certificate required, bachelor's degree preferred /n/n Facility: /n This healthcare facility operates a 44-bed intermediate cardiac stepdown unit known for its fast-paced environment and high patient turnover.
