Registered Nurse (RN) | Post-Anesthesia Care Unit (PACU) / Pre-Post Op Location: Madison, WI Agency: Cynet Health Pay: $2,333 per week Shift Information: Rotating - 5 days x 8 hours Contract Duration: 13 Weeks Start Date: 3/9/2026 About the Position Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: Nursing Specialty: Post Anesthesia Care Unit (PACU) Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Day 5x8-Hour or Day 4x10-Hour Hours per Shift: 8-10 hours Experience: PACU/Recovery room experience required. Traveler must have completed two years of acute care experience within the last 3 years. Telemetry experience required. Epic experience preferred within the last 12 months. License: Must possess a valid nursing license. Compact license from the permanent address state is acceptable. Certifications: Basic Life Support (BLS) required. Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) required. Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) preferred. Must-Have: Basic Arrhythmia experience. Ability to pass telemetry test prior to starting. Description: Day and evening shifts available, Monday through Friday. Shifts will be 8 or 10 hours long between the hours of 0700-2000 and 0500-2030. Registered Nurses will be responsible for assessing, diagnosing, intervening, and coordinating care for surgical patients in the immediate post-anesthesia period. Nurses will prep patients for surgery and support them through recovery, focusing on pain management and discharge education. The environment includes a Preoperative and postoperative patient area as well as a recovery room. Travelers may be required to float to other departments based on staffing needs. Patients will include adolescents, adults, and geriatrics. Previous charge experience preferred. Patient ratios are typically 2:1 in the PACU and 3:1 in pre/post-operative areas. Competencies in telemetry and various surgical patient care processes are required. Nurses will collaborate with interdisciplinary teams for comprehensive patient care.
