WisconsinOverview:Clinical: - Primary care clinic is attached to
Wausau Hospital - This full-time position is open to Family
Medicine or Internal Medicine Physicians - FM with or without OB -
Clinic Hours Monday-Wednesday & Friday 7-5, Thursday 7-7 - Flexible
office hours, and extended office hours if desired - Overall call
1:25Teaching: - Serve as a faculty advisor and mentor for residents
- Promote and participate in educational programs of the department
(continuing education, resident, student), to include didactics in
areas of interest - Supervise and teach learners in both the
ambulatory and inpatient pediatric and labor and delivery
environment - Demonstrate commitment to scholarly activities and
research in community-based health sciencesAbout the area:Wausau is
Wisconsin's place to play in the snow. Head to Granite Peak Ski
Area for downhill skiing, Nine Mile Forest for cross-country
skiing, and Sylvan Hill for tubing. Visit the Leigh Yawkey Woodson
Art Museum, Rib Mountain State Park or the downtown River District
for shopping, dining and events. Central Wisconsin has many outdoor
activities for the nature lover. From fishing to birdwatching;
hunting to hiking, there are many beautiful locations for one to
experience the outdoors. Fishermen can enjoy fishing year round on
the Wisconsin River, Lake Wausau, and other surrounding lakes.
Musky, walleye, crappie, northern pike, catfish, bluegill, bass,
sunfish, and yellow perch are present in most of the lakes, rivers,
and reservoir in the Central Wisconsin area. In the winter,
experience ice fishing by either heading out with your warm gear
and bucket, or by joining the community of ice-fisherman in their
ice shanties enjoying cook-outs, watching football, and most
importantly waiting for that tip up to spring up signaling a fish
on the line!
