Alliance Services, Inc. is seeking a travel nurse RN PCU - Progressive Care Unit for a travel nursing job in Wausau, Wisconsin. Job Description & Requirements - Specialty: PCU - Progressive Care Unit - Discipline: RN - Start Date: 02/02/2026 - Duration: 13 weeks - 48 hours per week - Shift: 12 hours, nights - Employment Type: Travel Estimated Gross Weekly Pay: $3408.00 Opportunity: RN - PCU Job Details: • Work 12-hour night shifts from 7:00 PM to 7:30 AM • Guaranteed 48 hours per week with overtime after 48 hours worked • 13-week contract assignment • Float to all inpatient units as needed • Every other weekend and every other holiday required • Can be placed on low census call with 2-hour minimum call back • Patient ratio typically 1:4 in a 44-bed intermediate cardiac step-down unit • Fast-paced environment with high patient turnover • Care for post-op CABG/valve, thoracotomy, vascular, arrhythmia, CHF patients • Handle post-procedure cath, pacer, defibrillator, ablations, and acute chest pain/MI cases • Manage medical/surgical overflow including detox, DKA, COPD exacerbations, and respiratory failure • Must have 1 year strong cardiac experience (Cardiac SDU/Intermediate Cardiac/Cardiac ICU) • 2 years IMC/PCU/Telemetry experience required • Experience with Amiodarone, Cardizem, and Nitro drips mandatory • At least one completed travel assignment required • 1 year recent EPIC charting experience required • Must pass EKG test during first week of hire • Required certifications: Wisconsin RN License, BLS, and ACLS • Associate degree or certificate required, bachelor's degree preferred • Must be outside 50-mile radius of facility • Any color scrubs permitted • Mask required at all times during flu season if flu/COVID vaccination declined Facility: This healthcare facility operates a comprehensive cardiac care program featuring a 44-bed intermediate cardiac step-down unit.
