Malone Healthcare - Nursing is seeking a travel nurse RN Intermediate Care for a travel nursing job in Wausau, Wisconsin. Job Description & Requirements - Specialty: Intermediate Care - Discipline: RN - Start Date: 12/22/2025 - Duration: 13 weeks - 36 hours per week - Shift: 12 hours, nights - Employment Type: Travel Radius Rule: Contractors must be outside a 50 mile radius of Aspirus Wausau expired IMC RN-Wausau WI Auto Offer Unit Contract Length: 13 weeks • Start Date: ASAP THIS UNIT HAS THE CONTRACT END ON SUNDAY NOT SATURDAY • Guaranteed Hours Per Week: 36 hrs • Shift Requirements: 12 hour NOCS 700p-730a • Float Requirements: AWH all inpatient units, as needed. Typically will float to higher acuity units • On Call/Call Back Requirements: NA • Weekend/Holiday Requirements: Every other weekend. Every other holiday • Required Certifications: WI RN License, BLS and ACLS. • Minimum Experience: 2 years experience required- firm on this. Stepdown/ Intermediate/PCU experience REQUIRED. ICU experience, preferred. Trauma Level II preferred. Ventilator/Trach experience required. * At least 1 prior travel experience REQUIRED. • Charting Experience: EPIC preferred. • Unit Information: 36 beds. Med Surg Intermediate Care unit. Heavy Tele. Stable, weaning Vents/Trach, sepsis, trauma alcohol detox, GI bleed, colostomy/ileostomy, chest tubes, TBI, Ortho Trauma, spinal cord injury and Stroke. Primary Patients/Insulin Drips Patient Ratio: 4:1. • Hard worker, Resilient and Manages Change well, Social candidates: Able to manage independently and complete tasks timely- fast past unit • Scrub Colors: any color • Contract is eligible for 36 hours of low census unbillable hours travelers can be put on call during the 36 hours of unbillable low census. If called back in, they will have call back pay. GSA hours are not guaranteed the week of Orientation. Traveler is guaranteed set hours per week, except during holidays where unit is closed.
