Compensation Estimated Weekly Salary Range: $5,780–$6,850 per week Pediatric Physician Job Details Job Title: Pediatric Locum Tenens Physician Position Type: Locum Tenens (Per Diem) Healthcare Setting: Outpatient Clinic with variable inpatient call Location: Stevens Point, WI 54481 (Central Wisconsin pediatric jobs) Start Date: January 1, 2026 End Date: Ongoing Schedule: Monday–Friday outpatient clinic; variable inpatient call Monday–Friday; 1–2 weekends per month (minimum 1 weekend) Shift Duration: 12-hour shifts (varied) Estimated Hours per Week: 36 Department Beds: 10 Patient Encounters per Shift: 0–1 Trauma Level: Level 3 Pediatrician Qualifications & Requirements Board Certification in Pediatrics (required) Active and unrestricted Physician license (Wisconsin preferred) BLS (Basic Life Support) certification (required) PALS (Pediatric Advanced Life Support) certification (required) Minimum 1 year of pediatric clinical experience Proficiency in non-invasive and invasive ventilation management (newborn and pediatric, acute and chronic) Intubation skills (ETT/NT) for newborns and pediatric patients Ability to interpret X-rays and EKGs Experience with suturing minor lacerations and performing circumcisions Preferred skills: Conscious/deep sedation, central/arterial lines, UVC/UAC, lumbar puncture, paracentesis, thoracentesis, chest tube insertion, needle pneumothorax decompression, exchange transfusion, and swallow studies Estimated credentialing timeframe: 90 days Pediatric Physician Responsibilities Deliver comprehensive pediatric care in an outpatient clinic setting Provide variable inpatient call coverage, including 1–2 weekends per month Manage acute and chronic ventilation for newborn and pediatric patients Perform intubations, suturing, circumcisions, and other pediatric procedures Interpret diagnostic studies such as X-rays and EKGs Collaborate with a multidisciplinary healthcare team to ensure optimal patient outcomes Maintain accurate and timely electronic medical documentation Take the next step in your pediatric physician career with this locum tenens job in Stevens Point, Wisconsin.
