Job Description ADEX Healthcare Staffing LLC is seeking a travel nurse RN PCU - Progressive Care Unit Med Surg for a travel nursing job in Wausau, Wisconsin. Job Description & Requirements - Specialty: PCU - Progressive Care Unit - Discipline: RN - Start Date: 01/05/2026 - Duration: 13 weeks - 36 hours per week - Shift: 12 hours, nights - Employment Type: Travel Opportunity: /n RN - IMC /n/n Job Details: /n • Work 12-hour night shifts from 7:00 PM to 7:30 AM /n• 13-week contract with guaranteed 36 hours per week /n• Every other weekend and holiday schedule required /n• Float to all inpatient units as needed, typically higher acuity units /n• No on-call or callback requirements /n• Must maintain 50-mile radius requirement from facility /n• Work in 36-bed Medical Surgical Intermediate Care unit with heavy telemetry /n• Care for patients with stable weaning vents/trach, sepsis, trauma, alcohol detox, GI bleeds, colostomy/ileostomy, chest tubes, TBI, orthopedic trauma, spinal cord injury, and stroke /n• 4:1 patient ratio with primary patients and insulin drips /n• Required certifications: Wisconsin RN License, BLS, and ACLS /n• Minimum 2 years experience required with stepdown/intermediate/PCU experience mandatory /n• ICU experience preferred, Trauma Level II experience preferred /n• Ventilator/trach experience required /n• At least 1 prior travel assignment required /n• EPIC charting experience preferred /n• Must be hardworking, resilient, and able to manage change well in fast-paced environment /n• Any color scrubs permitted /n• Associate degree or certificate required, bachelor's degree preferred /n/n Facility: /n This healthcare facility operates a comprehensive medical center providing advanced inpatient services with a focus on intermediate care and specialty medical treatment.
