Job Description & Requirements - Specialty: Telemetry - Discipline: RN - Start Date: 12/15/2025 - Duration: 13 weeks - 36 hours per week - Shift: 12 hours, nights - Employment Type: Travel Job Description American Traveler is seeking a Cardiac Telemetry/Step Down RN with strong cardiac experience and proficiency in Epic charting for a night shift contract. Responsibilities - Work on a 44-bed intermediate cardiac stepdown unit in a hospital setting - Patient population includes post-op CABG/valve, thoracotomy, vascular procedures, arrhythmias, CHF, post-procedure cath, pacemaker, defib, ablations, acute chest pain/MI, as well as med/surg overflow cases - Typical patient ratio is 1:4 with high patient turnover - Shift is 12 hours, nights (1900-0730), every other weekend and holiday required - Float to all inpatient units as needed - No on-call or call back requirements - Uses Epic EMR; one year recent Epic experience required - Scrub color is any color - Responsibilities include managing a fast-paced, high-turnover cardiac stepdown unit and delivering care to a diverse cardiac and overflow patient population - Candidates must be resilient, adaptable, and able to complete tasks independently - Every other holiday coverage is required - Low census may result in unbillable hours with call-back pay if called in - First week orientation hours are not guaranteed - Candidates need to have strong social and communication skills Requirements - Active WI or compact RN license required - BLS and ACLS certifications required - Must have at least 1 year of strong cardiac experience (Cardiac SDU/Intermediate Cardiac/Cardiac ICU) - 2 years IMC/PCU/Telemetry experience required - Must have completed at least one travel assignment - Experience working with Amiodarone, Cardizem, and Nitro drips is required - Must be able to pass an EKG test during the first week of hire - One year recent Epic charting experience required - Applicants must reside outside a 50-mile radius during the assignment Benefits - High Pay and Bonuses - Medical, Dental and Vision Insurance with Day 1 Options - 401(k) Plan - Weekly Payroll Deposit - Free Online CEUs - Generous Housing Allowance - Travel and Licensure Reimbursements - Non-taxed Per Diem and Subsidy - Traveler Rewards and Discounts American Traveler Job ID P-628583.
