Job Description & Requirements - Specialty: PACU - Post Anesthesia Care - Discipline: RN - Start Date: 11/17/2025 - Duration: 10 weeks - 40 hours per week - Shift: 10 hours, days - Employment Type: Travel Job Description American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a PACU position requiring a WI or compact RN license and recent hospital PACU experience. Responsibilities - Position is in the PACU of a hospital setting - Variable schedule of four 10-hour shifts per week with start times between 0700 and 1100 - On-call is required one night a week for 4 out of 6 weeks and every 5th weekend with a 30-minute response time - Weekend and holiday rotation is required - Unit consists of 14 bays with a 1:2 patient ratio handling an average of 35 patients per day - Primary cases include general surgery, spine and neuro, GI, ENT, cardiac, peripheral vascular, and ortho, with stabilization of ICU patients before transfer - Epic experience strongly preferred; other electronic charting experience is acceptable - Responsibilities include post-anesthesia care and stabilization of various surgical and ICU patients - Scrubs of any color may be worn - Holiday rotation coverage is required - Candidates must reside outside a 50-mile radius from the facility - Travelers may be placed on call due to low census, with up to 36 hours of low census unbillable hours permitted per contract Requirements - Active WI or compact RN license required - Current AHA BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications required - Minimum of 2 years recent PACU experience in a hospital setting required - Post-cardiac and pediatric PACU experience required - Ability to respond onsite within 30 minutes when on call - Experience using Epic or previous electronic charting experience required Benefits - High Pay and Bonuses - Medical, Dental and Vision Insurance with Day 1 Options - 401(k) Plan - Weekly Payroll Deposit - Free Online CEUs - Generous Housing Allowance - Travel and Licensure Reimbursements - Non-taxed Per Diem and Subsidy - Traveler Rewards and Discounts American Traveler Job ID P-628647.
