SUMMARYOur business is growing and so is our Total Rewards
team!
The U.S. Venture People Resources team is seeking a Vice President
of Total Rewards. Reporting to our Chief People Officer, this
position will be responsible for the development, implementation,
communication, support and administration of U.S. Venture's Total
Rewards programs that enable our company to attract, hire, retain,
and incentivize top talent. The successful candidate is a seasoned
thought leader who can easily toggle between strategy and execution
and is focused on continuous improvement and innovation.
This individual will have direct management of compensation,
benefits, wellness, HR systems and payroll. This role will also
engage with the Board of Directors as it relates to Total Rewards
strategies.
Our ideal candidate will office onsite at our Appleton, WI
headquarters.JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
- Partner with U.S. Venture Senior Leadership and People
Resources Leadership to develop, lead and execute a Total Rewards
philosophy, vision, and strategy for all team members including
compensation, health, welfare, retirement, base pay, incentives,
and other rewards
- Act as a subject matter expert and thought leader, continually
researching and analyzing Total Rewards programs to improve current
offerings, processes, and procedures; recommend any enhancements or
changes
- Lead compensation program, to include participation in market
data and surveys, planning and leading the annual compensation and
performance review cycles (bonus and merit), promotions and
transfers, job titles, job evaluation and classification,
compensation policy ownership
- Develop plans to address challenges related to talent
acquisition and retention in order to demonstrate U.S. Venture's
commitment to investing in our talent.
- Lead Compensation Committee meetings; prepare agendas and
meeting materials
- Lead quarterly Investment Committee meetings to ensure
fiduciary responsibilities are met
- Oversee all annual processes associated with Total Rewards,
including planning and leading annual compensation and performance
review cycles, benefits marketing and communications, and open
enrollment; equity management, administration and
communication
- Manage benefits strategy, plan design, administration and
comprehensive communication. Oversee health and wellness plan
administration, to include annual open enrollment process and any
associated plan changes, retirement plan administration, wellness
and rewards/recognition programs.
- Monitor and manage relationships with vendors and negotiate
agreements
- Manage People technology and operations, to include
administration of HRIS and other People systems, reporting, process
automation and systems integration efforts
- Focused involvement in the utilization of HRIS tools, data and
analytics to support the business
- Play a leadership role in ensuring that the People operations
function leverages technology to deliver an efficient and clear
service delivery model
- Provide Total Rewards communications and training to People
Resources staff, managers, and team members
- Develop and maintain leave of absence programs to support team
members during work absences, ensuring compliance with all federal
and state laws
- Develop communication programs designed to inform and invite
participation in all total reward offerings
- Oversee and manage the overall payroll function for a
multi-state organization including payroll and W-2 processing,
payroll taxes, reviewing and revising policies and procedure, as
well as, internal controls, and system review
- Participate in merger and acquisition activities to ensure
successful integrationQUALIFICATIONS
- Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Finance, or related
field
- Master's degree, CCP, CBP, CEBS, CMS, or SPHR a plus
- Minimum 15 years of relevant Human Resources leadership
experience, preferably with a focus around Total Rewards
(compensation, benefits, HR systems and payroll)
- Demonstrated strong business acumen, ability to think
strategically and critically
- Excellent analytical skills coupled with financial discipline;
has the capability to manage significant budgetary
responsibilities
- Strong negotiation and consultative skills with the ability to
partner with and influence all levels in the organization including
senior leadership; proven track record of forming and maintaining
positive business relationships
- High degree of self-initiation, organizational skills, problem
solving, and creative thinking
- Ability to think globally, strategically, and objectively;
experience developing and implementing large scale projects and
change initiatives
- Ability to consult with employees at all levels
- Ability to undertake competitive benchmarking and process the
outcomes of the benchmarking into meaningful analysis and
recommendations for action
- Excellent communication including interpersonal, written,
public speaking, and facilitation skills
- Proficient with Microsoft Office applications and experience
with HCM software; Workday software experience, a plus
