Job Description Summary :As an extension of the finance team, the Physician Compensation Manager will be responsible for driving the development of physician compensation models, policies, and overseeing the alignment of physician compensation arrangements and payment practices for the physicians of ThedaCare's Clinically Integrated Network (CIN). This position will partner with ThedaCare's CIN leadership, the operation teams within each service line, the physician recruiting team, human resources, legal and compliance, and the contracting team to propose, implement and assess the impact of physician compensation models that are created to align with service line and health system goals. The Physician Compensation Manager will create, document and manage compensation policies based on benchmarks and related data which will allow for transparent compensation standards and justification for incoming and existing physicians within ThedaCare. This role will document and ensure fair market value and commercial reasonableness of all physician compensation models.Job Description:Responsibilities:



  • Provide recommendations of compensation models for existing and future physician contracts
  • Review reconciliations of monthly/quarterly/yearly physician payroll reports and WRVU reconciliations
  • Establish and maintain proper internal controls over all physician payroll practices
  • Participate and Present at compensation committee meetings
  • Present contracts to physicians
  • Oversee the physician compensation modeling and forecasting process


    Provide guidance, direction and oversight for the provider compensation analyst role(s) to ensure timely, accurate and consistent contract analysis, reconciliation and reporting of provider compensation.

    Education:

    Required: Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Accounting or related field.

    Preferred: Master's degree in Business Administration or Healthcare Administration highly desirable.

    Experience

    Required: Experience with increasing responsibility for physician compensation analysis, model design and implementation.

    Preferred: Demonstrated track record managing a successful and progressive physician compensation program.

    Additional Skills

    Demonstrated analytical and problem-solving skills. Ability to maximize the use of information systems and technology for tracking, analysis, reporting, administration and communications. Strong analytical, problem solving and decision-making skills. Excellent organizational skills, written and oral communication and customer service skills.

    Proven expertise in compensation administration and plan design, market practices and data analysis. Comprehensive knowledge of HR policies and procedures, laws, and regulations governing pay administration. Comprehensive knowledge of provider contracts. Demonstrated ability to understand and respect the sensitive nature of information and navigate complex situations and tasks in a discrete, effective and efficient manner. Strong understanding of data management including data mapping and importing/exporting data between applications (e.g., Sharepoint, Access, Excel, WorkDay and other custom proprietary applications). Working knowledge of all HR functional areas with an emphasis on EEOC laws and requirements, federal and state wage/hour employment laws. Demonstrated ability to work on concurrent projects while maintaining a high level of accuracy and strong attention to detail.Scheduled Weekly Hours:40Scheduled FTE:1Location:ThedaCare Corporate Office - Appleton,WisconsinOvertime Exempt:Yes
