Job Description:
Charter Manufacturing, a prominent leader in the metal
production industry with a rich family-owned history spanning four
generations, is currently seeking a skilled Weekend Maintenance
Mechanic to join our Engineering & Maintenance team. This role is
vital in ensuring the operational efficiency and reliability of our
steel and iron production facilities during weekends. As a Weekend
Maintenance Mechanic, you will tackle challenges related to
maintaining and repairing mechanical systems and machinery,
ensuring minimal downtime and supporting the continuous,
high-quality output that Charter Manufacturing is known for. Your
expertise will directly contribute to our legacy of innovation and
commitment to exceptional service. Perform routine maintenance and
emergency repairs of all equipment and machinery during weekends.
Diagnose mechanical issues and provide timely solutions. Ensure
compliance with safety regulations and maintain clean work
environment. Record maintenance and repair work performed, and
track parts inventory. Collaborate with other department team
members to improve plant reliability and performance. Participate
in continuous improvement and training sessions. Proven mechanical
troubleshooting and repair skills. Familiarity with hydraulic,
pneumatic, and electrical systems. Ability to read and interpret
mechanical drawings and schematics. Strong problem-solving skills
and attention to detail. Medical Insurance Dental Insurance Vision
Insurance Life Insurance 401k Certification from a recognized trade
body is a plus. OSHA Safety training certification preferred.
