Job Description:
Performance Foodservice, a trailblazer in food distribution,
servicing a vast array of customers from local eateries to major
restaurant chains, is actively seeking a skilled Commercial
Appliance Technician to join our maintenance team. This role is
pivotal in ensuring that all kitchen appliances and related
equipment operate at optimal levels, reducing downtime and
contributing to the overall efficiency of our operations. As a
technician, you will work with state-of-the-art technology to
perform diagnostics, repairs, and preventive maintenance. Diagnose
faults and malfunctions in commercial kitchen appliances and
systems. Perform repairs and routine maintenance on refrigerators,
ovens, stoves, and other kitchen equipment. Adhere to health and
safety regulations and company policies. Maintain service logs and
records of all maintenance functions. Collaborate with the
operations team to schedule repairs and reduce impact on service.
Provide technical support and guidance to kitchen staff regarding
optimal equipment use. Strong knowledge of commercial kitchen
equipment repair and maintenance. Proficiency in the use of
diagnostic tools. Ability to read and interpret technical documents
and schematics. Excellent problem-solving skills. Good
communication and interpersonal skills. Medical Insurance Dental
Insurance Vision Insurance Life Insurance 401k EPA certification
for handling refrigerants (preferred). Certified Food Service
Equipment Technician (CFSET) or equivalent.
